Squire Patton Boggs has parted ways with two more of its London real estate partners, following what the firm has called a structural "refresh".

Michael Shaw, the former practice head, and Gary Paddison, have both left the firm, a person at the firm said.

The person added that the departures were part of structural changes to the practice. As part of the changes, partner Andrew Sprake becomes the new head of the real estate practice.

He is the only remaining real estate partner in the London office, a second person with knowledge of the matter said, and according to the firm's website. Another former partner, Patrick Ryan, has become a director at the firm, according to the first person.

Earlier in the year, another real estate partner Rachel Orton departed the firm to join Addleshaw Goddard.

Both Gary Paddison and Rachel Orton joined Squire from DLA Piper in 2014, and Paddison has rejoined Orton at Addleshaws as a consultant, according to a person with knowledge of the move.

Michael Shaw originally joined Squire as partner in 2005 from Linklaters, where he was a managing associate, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Last year, Squire lost seven partners to U.S. rival Crowell & Moring, including former Squire London managing partner Robert Weekes.

A spokesperson for Squire commented: "Last year we made some structural changes at the partnership level to our London real estate practice, which included some partner departures.

"This also included a refresh of leadership, all of which provides us with a better platform from which to grow the team in a way that is aligned with our strategic direction and global strengths."
