Fieldfisher and DAC Beachcroft have unveiled their latest partner promotion rounds, appointing 8 and 14 lawyers to the partnership respectively.
Both firms have reduced their cohorts compared to previous year's rounds. Fieldfisher has improved the gender make up of its round, while DACB's slipped this year.
Fieldfisher has appointed five of its eight new partners in its London base while an additional one apiece are based in its U.K. regional offices of Manchester and Birmingham. The firm also promoted a single partner in Düsseldorf.
Over 50% of the new Fieldfisher cohort are women, compared to 37% of last year's round of 14 total promotions.
Meanwhile at DACB, its Bristol base accounted for the most new partners with six additions. London accounted for just two new partners, down from four last year. The firm also promoted two lawyers in each of its Birmingham, Leeds and Newcastle offices.
42% of the new DACB cohort are women, compared to 53% last year, when the firm promoted 19 lawyers.
DACB and Fieldfisher are not the only firms to have promoted reduced rounds this year. CMS promoted the fewest lawyers to the partnership since its 2017 merger, while Macfarlanes unveiled the smallest promotions round in a decade, promoting just two lawyers to partner.
Simmons & Simmons and Ashurst meanwhile have delayed their global promotions rounds as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
