Anglo-Australian firm Herbert Smith Freehills has hired a financial services partner in Sydney from Norton Rose Fulbright.

Charlotte Henry joins the firm's financial services regulatory practice and will advise clients about Australian banking regulatory matters, Herbert Smith said in a statement. She was previously with Norton Rose in London.

Most recently, she advised clients about the impact of Brexit, focusing in particular on corporate governance, and also helped clients manage various individual accountability regimes around the world, including in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, Herbert Smith said.

"In an environment in which our clients are looking for advisors that bring the full suite of regulatory expertise, commercial insight and capacity to identify future trends, we are incredibly excited to have Charlotte joining our team," Carolyn Pugsley, Herbert Smith managing partner for corporate and the regional head of practice for corporate in Australia, said in a statement.

"Charlotte not only brings a deep understanding of the regulatory issues and trends facing banks and other financial institutions but has an excellent track record of leading cross-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams."
