Elite Italian firm BonelliErede has added two new partners to its offering in Ethiopia.

Corporate partner Seble Geberegiorgis Baraki and real estate partner Weynalem Weldesenbet both join Bonelli's partnership firm Tameru Wondm Agegnehu Law Office in Addis Ababa.

Baraki joins from boutique firm SGB Law Office where she practised for over four years, while Weldesenbet joins from his firm, Weynalem Weldesenbet and Associates Law Office, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Bonelli entered into its exclusive partnership with the Ethiopian outfit in 2017 with the aim of advising Italian and international clients looking to do business in Ethiopia.

Stefano Simontacchi, president of Bonelli and member of the firm's Africa committee said in a statement: "We are thrilled to have Weynalem and Seble on board, especially as their appointments coincide with Africa Day, a joyous occasion that signifies unity and triumph.

"We look forward to combining their expertise with the highly talented team at Tameru Wondm Agegnehu Law Office, as we make further strides towards realising our vision for the region."

Last week, Bonelli became one of the few European firms to reopen its offices following a prolonged absence due to the coronavirus lockdown.
