Major African law firm Bowmans has expanded its reach throughout the continent via two new associations in Malawi and Zambia.

The firm has entered into an agreement with barrister Elton Jangale, who manages local Malawi firm PFI Partnerships, to set up an offering in the country.

In Zambia, Bowmans has launched a four lawyer office, B&M Legal Practitioners. It consists of two partners, Mabvuto Sakala and Bwalya Chilufya-Musonda, along with two associates.

In a statement regarding the office launches, Bowmans chairman and senior partner Robert Legh said: 'Now, more than ever before, we are focusing on our vision of being the pre-eminent African law firm serving our clients wherever they are on the continent'.

Last year, Bowmans announced it was opening a new office in Mauritius and entering into an alliance with Assefa & Associates Law Office in Ethiopia, to further expand its presence across the continent.
