Gibson Dunn & Crutcher

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has hired one of its former London lawyers as a partner to its base in the city.

The firm has brought in alumi Susy Bullock as a disputes partner, after she left the firm in 2014 to join UBS.

She worked in-house at the major bank for five years, after spending one year on secondment from Gibson Dunn there. She was most recently a managing director and head of EMEA litigation at UBS.

In a statement, Gibson Dunn managing partner Ken Doran said: "We're excited to welcome Susy back to Gibson Dunn. Susy is a highly regarded lawyer whose mix of private and in-house experience will prove invaluable for clients facing complex, high-stakes challenges."

The firm has made a smattering of hires in London and Europe in the past year, including London partner Ben Fryer from Mayer Brown and an Ashurst employment partner in Paris.

Earlier in 2019 it also boosted its London base with Macfarlanes financial regulation partner Michelle Kirschner, and its Brussels office with the hire of O'Melveny & Myers' Brussels managing partner.
