KPMG Law Advokatfirma has hired a partner from DLA Piper, adding to the Danish firm's roster of tax experts in its Copenhagen office.

Line Kjær comes to KPMG Law from DLA Piper Denmark, where she practiced for three years as a partner and co-headed the tax practice, according to the DLA Piper website.

She began her career at the elite Danish firm Kromann Reumert and practiced at Delacour Dania and the LETT law firm, where she rose to partner, according to her LinkedIn profile.

DLA Piper acquired Lett in 2017, part of an acquisition spree in Scandinavia that saw it also take over Delacour in 2018 as well as the Swedish firm Groenberg and the Finnish firm Peltonen LMR.

Kjær is also a teaching assistant in indirect taxes at Aarhus University, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Big Four giant KPMG has set its sights on European growth recently, this month launching a Luxembourg office with hires from Charles Russell Speechlys. The branch has been set up under the name of "KPMG Law Luxembourg", according to filings on the Luxembourg business registry.

Both Kjær and KPMG Law in Denmark declined to comment further on her appointment.
