Andersen Global has stepped deeper into Africa, with new tie-ups in Chad and Eswatini (Swaziland).

This follows hot on the heels of the firm's move into South Sudan this week, and comes as part of sweeping expansion plans on the continent, where it has now increased its presence to 38 countries.

"Our goal is to be in 49 of the 54 African countries by the end of next year," said Andersen's global chairman Mark Vorsatz.

In Chad, the firm has signed a collaboration agreement with Kreich Avocats, which offers legal services in the Economic Community of Central African States (CEMAC) sub-region, the firm said in a statement.

The latter's team of 10 professionals represents local companies, state institutions and multinational subsidiaries in the banking and finance, telecommunications, media, energy, healthcare, pharmacy and aviation sectors.

Office managing director Abdelkérim Kreich said collaborating with Andersen Global will allow the firm to expand its services beyond Chad and the CEMAC area.

"We look forward to working with the member firms and collaborating firms of Andersen Global in our neighboring countries – Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon – as well as globally," he said in a statement.

Andersen has signed a similar collaboration deal with Robinson Bertram, one of the oldest and largest law offices in Mbabane, the capital of Eswatini.

Founded in the 1800s, the firm consists of 30 professionals providing legal services to the public and private sectors, including corporate and commercial, real estate, litigation and dispute resolution, labor and employment, and environmental.

Managing partner, Zwelethu Desmond Jele, said collaborating with Andersen Global will allow it to provide clients with "an integrated approach in a seamless manner regardless of borders."
