Clifford Chance has named a new executive committee for its Paris office, the firm announced Thursday.

In a statement, the firm said the refreshed leadership is designed to "stimulate a new governance and to better respond to the new challenges of the firm's clients after the COVID-19 crisis."

The new committee members include general manager Catherine Dawson; finance partners Xavier Comaills and Delphine Siino Courtin; litigator Diego de Lammerville; and antitrust partner David Tayar.

Dawson has been general manager of the Paris office since 2016. She previously practiced as a lawyer in the M&A department for 15 years and was director of HR for ten years.

Comaills joined Clifford Chance as a finance partner in 2013 from Ashurst, where he practiced as a partner for five years. A private equity specialist, he heads the structured finance department in Paris.

De Lammerville joined Clifford Chance in 2000 and rose to partner in 2012. A specialist in commercial litigation and financial markets, he previously practiced on the corporate law and M&A teams at the firm.

Siino Courtin, a specialist in project finance in Europe and Africa, joined Clifford Chance in 2005 from Herbert Smith Freehills and rose to partner in 2014.

Tayar joined Clifford Chance as an antitrust partner in 2017 from Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where he practiced as a partner for 11 years. He specializes in French and European competition law.

The committee will serve with Mathieu Remy, who took up duties as managing partner on May 1. Remy, a corporate/M&A specialist who joined Clifford Chance as a partner in 2011 from Shearman & Sterling, was named in October to succeed longtime managing partner Yves Wehrli, who continues to practice at the firm as a corporate specialist in media and sports law.

Clifford Chance's Paris office was established in 1962. It numbers around 200 legal professionals, including 39 partners, according to the firm's website.
