Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has hired a nine-strong intellectual property (IP) team from Cooley in London, the firm said in a statement on Wednesday.

Morgan Lewis has hired IP partner Nick Bolter in London, who will join the firm with a team of four associates, a paralegal, and three trademark professional staff from Cooley.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Bolter first joined Cooley in 2015. His practice focuses on the selection, prosecution, protection, and enforcement of trademarks, brands, and designs in the United Kingdom and across Europe.

Eric Kraeutler, head of Morgan Lewis' global IP practice, said in a statement: "Nick and his team represent a significant expansion of our IP capabilities in the United Kingdom and Europe.

"The team will work closely with our existing talent in the United States and Moscow, adding critical depth to our already global trademark and branding practice."

This is the latest hire for Morgan Lewis in London. Last month, the firm hired a four-lawyer private investment funds team from Morrison & Foerster in London. The team included partners Oliver Rochman and Rob Mailer.
