RPC has appointed a new senior leadership team, handing a second term to its incumbent managing partner James Miller and electing a new senior partner.

Oliver Bray has been appointed the firm's new senior partner for a three-year term, following an election by the firm's partnership.

Bray replaces the outgoing incumbent, commercial disputes partner Rupert Boswall, who is stepping down after completing two three-year terms, the maximum allowed under RPC's partnership deed.

Miller, meanwhile, will now serve his second term in the position. He was elected to the managing partner post in 2017 on a three-year term following the retirement of the firm's long-time leader Jonathan Watmough."

Bray has been at RPC for 17 years, advising on commercial law matters. He specialises in brand management and advises clients on areas including data protection, consumer and advertising law, according to a statement by the firm.

In addition, Bray is also chairman of the City of London Law Society Commercial Law Committee.

Commenting on his appointment in a statement, Bray said: "I am very much looking forward to helping the partnership and the wider firm meet the challenges of the fast-changing legal market, not least thanks to my experience of working with the world's leading tech platforms.

"Alongside my new role as senior partner, I will continue to be part of our first-class tech team supporting our clients in driving innovation in a rapidly growing digital economy".
