U.S. firm Debevoise & Plimpton has not made up any London-based lawyers to its partnership in its latest promotion round.

The firm has promoted seven lawyers to its partnership – all based in the firm's New York office.

Those making the cut are associates Alisa Waxman, Daniel Priest and Sally Bergmann, and counsels Winston Paes, Elliot Greenfield, Megan Bannigan and Jason Auerbach.

Last year, the firm made up three London lawyers in its largest ever promotion round, which saw ten lawyers promoted to partnership.

In April, CMS promoted 41 lawyers with firm's London office accounting for 18 in total – the largest number of promotions. Travers Smith also promoted five lawyers in May. Meanwhile, Mishcon de Reya made up just two lawyers to the partnership as part of a reduced annual promotional round in June.

Ashurst and Simmons & Simmons are among firms delaying their partner promotions as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown.
