International spirits business Quintessential Brands Group has promoted a former Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer lawyer to general counsel.

Jacqueline Drury joined the company as senior legal counsel at the company in August 2019, according to her LinkedIn page.

Prior to this, she was at Freshfields for over eight years, where she advised on issues such as intellectual property right protection and licensing and multi-jurisdictional data protection compliance, among others.

Sharing the news in a LinkedIn post, the company said: "We're delighted to announce the promotion of Jacqueline Drury into the role of group general counsel.

"As GGC, Jacqueline leads our legal function and becomes the newest member of our senior executive team. Congratulations to Jacqueline from all of us at Quintessential Brands for this much deserved promotion."

Quintessential Brands was established in 2011 and manages drinks brands including Greenall's Gin and Alizé.
