Eversheds Sutherland's alternative legal services provider Konexo is looking to launch in continental Europe.

Konexo head Graham Richardson said it hopes to launch its first base in Europe post-Brexit, with the Netherlands and Germany possible locations for the offering.

Richardson said: "We are considering the potential to expand Konexo's global offering. With a strong presence in the UK and Asia, and following our recent launch in the US, exploring options in mainland Europe, particularly post-Brexit, makes sense.

"We are currently focused on the Netherlands for our legal resourcing business, in particular. Germany is also another potential opportunity, however we are in very early stages of discussions, with a number of other factors still to consider."

He added that the team has been conducting research in the Dutch market to see how significant a demand for Konexo's services would be if it were to open there.

The plan to expand in Europe follows the provider's expansion in the U.S. in June, a year after it launched in the U.K. and Asia.

When Eversheds unveiled Konexo in the U.K. and Asia in 2019, the firm said it was aiming for long-term revenues of at least £100 million.
