The head of legal for U.K.-based money transfer service TransferWise has left after just under three years at the company.

Gordon Youngson is joining The Law Boutique as its chief commercial office, the company said in a statement.

The Law Boutique is a legal services provider, supporting in-house teams with technology and automation.

Prior to his legal head role at TransferWise, Youngson was senior legal counsel at Brussels-based financial services group Euroclear and head of legal at UK Payments Administration, according to LinkedIn.

In a statement, Youngson said: "I'm super excited to be joining The Law Boutique. It's one of the leading legal tech solution providers, helping businesses scale and transform their legal function through intelligent legal design and optimised legal processes.

"I'm looking forward to bringing my experience from working in legal teams across the financial services industry and small start-ups to The Law Boutique and its clients."

The Law Boutique CEO and founder, Electra Japonas, added: "Gordon's arrival signifies the trajectory of The Law Boutique. This is an important stage in the growth and development of the business and will help us change the legal landscape as we know it.

"We're on a mission to humanise and simplify law. Gordon will play a key role in helping us do just that."

In January, TransferWise hired Dean Nash as its general counsel from competitor Monzo.
