Dentons has appointed three partners to European practice leadership roles, the firm announced.

Budapest-based partner Anita Horváth is slated to co-head the European energy group, London partner Christopher Rose will lead the global private services sector group in Europe, and Berlin-based Thomas Schubert will be in charge of  venture technology and emerging growth companies.

Horváth will share leadership of the energy group with Arkadiusz Krasnodębski. Horváth, who has been a partner since 2015, was also recently named co-head of the corporate and M&A practice in Hungary. Earlier this month, Dentons bolstered its energy and infrastructure practice in Germany by hiring a four-lawyer team from Baker McKenzie.

Rose will establish and lead the global private services group in continental Europe to advise ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices around the world. Rose has been a partner at Dentons since 2017.

Meanwhile, Schubert will step into Rose's former role as head of the European venture technology and emerging growth practice. Schubert, a partner since 2015, will continue to co-head the energy section of the Europe regulatory group.

"Dentons remains strongly committed to our strategy to enhance our offering in key sectors and practices across the European continent," Tomasz Dąbrowski, CEO of Dentons Europe, said in the statement.

Like most firms around the world, Dentons has implemented several measures to contain the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's U.K. and Middle East LLP in April took the drastic measure of furloughing over 100 members of its staff. And earlier this month, the firm said it was pushing back the launch of its Dublin office due to the impact of COVID-19.
