Latham & Watkins has announced the hire of a new corporate partner in its London office from investor and asset manager OMERS Infrastructure.

John Guccione joins the firm in London from OMERS Infrastructure, where he was managing director, legal for over five years and oversaw transactions pursued in Europe for OMERS Infrastructure, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to joining OMERS Infrastructure, Guccione was a managing associate in the energy and infrastructure group at Linklaters in London and the corporate group at Torys LLP in Toronto. He also held a role as vice president, legal, for Borealis Infrastructure for a decade, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Stephen Kensell, Latham & Watkins' office managing partner in London, said in a statement: "John adds depth to Latham's infrastructure practice and he will provide clients with strong and diverse experience across a range of matters. He has deep connections within the European and global infrastructure community, and his arrival will significantly augment our resources in London and around the world."

This is the latest hire for the firm in London. Last year, it picked up structured finance partner Steve Curtis from Clifford Chance, and in May it recruited former Mayer Brown restructuring partner Jessica Walker.
