The head of the U.K. Government Legal Department (GLD) has resigned, a person close to the matter confirmed on Tuesday.
Sir Jonathan Jones QC, HM procurator general, treasury solicitor and head of the government legal profession and Crown's nominee, since 2014 has resigned, the person said.
