Norton Rose Fulbright has entered into an informal working relationship with a Chinese boutique firm, Shanghai Pacific Legal. The link-up follows the "best friend" model employed by the firm in other jurisdictions, a firm spokesperson said in a statement.

"[M]any of our clients are carrying out business in China and we have agreed to work with Shanghai Pacific on PRC law matters where Shanghai Pacific has the relevant expertise to support our clients' needs," Norton Rose's spokesperson said, adding that the link-up will complement Norton Rose's existing China practice.
