Hunton Andrews Kurth has hired a projects partner from Shearman & Sterling to head up its Tokyo office.
George Borovas will chair a nuclear energy practice at Hunton and also be the firm's Tokyo managing partner. Borovas focuses his practice advising lenders, governments and sponsors on development and financing of civilian nuclear power plants and related transactions. In 2017, he advised Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. on a €250 investment in French nuclear power group Areva S.A.
