Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Allen & Overy have advised on a $10.6 billion deal that saw Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Group acquire Tesco Plc.'s retail stores in Thailand and Malaysia.

The acquisition of 2,000 stores in Thailand and over 70 stores in Malaysia, announced earlier this year, received greenlight this week from the Office of Trade and Competition Commission in Thailand, which said the merger was not considered a monopoly. CP group already operates more than 12,000 7-Eleven stores in Thailand.
