Earlier this year, Charlie Jacobs commemorated his 30th anniversary at Linklaters. Joining the firm as a trainee in 1990, Jacobs has risen steadily through the ranks of the elite U.K. firm, entering the partnership in 1999 and taking on the role of senior partner and chairman in 2016.
An M&A heavyweight and global mining expert, he has advised on many multi-billion pound deals for key firm clients such as Glencore, SABMiller, BHP Billiton and Zain. Here, he talks to Law.com International about the changes to the industry across his career, and the challenges and achievements that come with leading Linklaters.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
