The firm has abandoned its plans for a Johannesburg legal support centre in the same week it lost its regional managing partner to a rival.

Allen & Overy has abandoned its plans to set up a legal support centre in Johannesburg, which had been due to launch at the start of 2020.
It comes after the firm was forced to pause its plans in July 2020, which it attributed to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
