The Bar Councils in the UK have asked other country Bar associations to condemn the sanctions of lawyers.

The Bar Council has called on the Chinese government to review its sanctions on Essex Court and other individuals, as well as other international Bar associations to condemn the move.
In a statement published on Tuesday, the Bar Council of England and Wales, as well as the councils in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland called on the Chinese state to review the sanctions it imposed on Essex Court Chambers in March, as well as on several legal professionals.
