France Dismisses Agent Orange Lawsuit, Citing 'Sovereign Immunity'
Defendants in the case included U.S. multinationals Dow Chemical, Hercules, and Occidental Petroleum's OxyChem subsidiary, as well as Monsanto, now owned by Bayer of Germany. They claimed that they acted "under the orders" of the U.S. government in wartime.
