Canada’s most populous province is still under a stay-at-home order because of the continued prevalence of COVID-19 cases, but the country’s biggest law firms are thriving while most lawyers and staff continue to work from home.

The most profitable law firms—including Gowling WLG, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, Blake, Cassels & Graydon, McCarthy Tétrault, Fasken Martineau DuMoulin, Borden Ladner Gervais and Stikeman Elliott—have not just weathered the pandemic but outperformed 2020’s revenue expectations, with reports of high single-digit to low double-digit increases. The positive growth looks to continue in 2021.
