It won't have been a relaxing Thursday for most U.S. law firms yesterday, after Milbank threw petrol on the ever smouldering associate pay war.
It announced a whopping pay hike to $200,000 for its global first year associates, except in Germany, where NQs will take home a "comparable" increase.
