Several law firms including Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Mishcon de Reya have created a U.K. pledge to reduce the environmental impact of dispute resolution work.
The Greener Litigation Pledge has been signed up to by a group of law firms, barristers' chambers and other disputes professionals actively committed to reducing the environmental impact of dispute resolution and litigation conducted in the courts of England and Wales, according to statements by member firms on Monday.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments.
