The Latin America practice at tech firm Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian boasts more than 20 lawyers who represent over 150 companies at different stages of development, and at least 25 venture capital firms, making it one of the most extensive legal tech practices working in the region. The firm has guided multiple clients through watershed deals, such as the June representation of Mexican digital payments platform Clip's $250 million Series D financing. That investment, led by SoftBank Group Corp.'s Latin American fund and Viking Global Investors, brought the company's valuation to $2 billion—converting it into a tech unicorn.
