Gide Loyrette Nouel has promoted seven lawyers to the partnership in Paris, a move that catches up on delayed promotions from 2020 and prepares several practice areas for generational succession, according to the firm's managing partner.
The new partners, in six practice areas, took up their positions this month, Jean-François Levraud, Gide managing partner, said.
Gide promoted four partners in each of the two previous years. It usually announces its new partners in January, but after the "unusual context" of 2020, the firm decided to wait until July this year, Levraud told Law.com International during an interview.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
