Dutch oil giant Shell announced on Tuesday that it would go ahead with its plans to appeal a landmark Dutch court ruling compelling it to reduce its global greenhouse gas emissions by 45% compared to 2019 levels.
After the decision was announced in May, Shell said it “fully” expected to appeal the judgment.
