Nicola Yeomans is the second Herbert Smith Freehills veteran to depart from the firm's Singapore office this year. In May, Herbert Smith Freehills also lost long-time energy partner David Clinch to Shearman & Sterling.

King & Wood Mallesons has hired Nicola Yeomans, Herbert Smith Freehills' Asia head of private capital, as a partner for its Singapore office. She will commence her new role in 2022.
Yeomans advises on private equity deals and cross-border M&A, with a particular focus on emerging markets. She regularly works with PE firms, asset managers, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds on their transactions in Southeast Asia. She has also built a particular specialty in the Indian market.
