A Dutch judge has described a near-€1 million bill issued by Simmons & Simmons as "excessive" in proportion to the case.
The fees stemmed from a case that saw a Simmons & Simmons legal team spending almost 2,000 billable hours on the defense of a client against charges of fraud in a case brought by the country's public prosecutor, according to a legal document.
