Large Brazilian law firms are bolstering their tax expertise to assist clients as government officials hunt for more revenue in Latin America’s largest economy.

BMA-Barbosa Mussnich & Aragão Advogados has hired a partner from Big Four firm EY, Fabio Florentino, who will focus on indirect taxes and customs. Also in São Paulo, Demarest Advogados has recruited a former state tax judge, Maurício Barros, as tax partner.
