Santander's payments fintech firm Pagonxt has hired Dean Nash as its next chief legal officer and general counsel, a company announcement said. Nash joins from U.K. money transfer fintech Wise, where he was general counsel for two years. He announced his departure earlier in January, with Wise's head of corporate Jessica Winter taking the GC role on an interim basis. Nash begins the role from 1 February. The head of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's cyber, privacy & data innovation practice has left the firm for an in-house role at subscription social platform OnlyFans, a company spokesperson confirmed. Keily Blair leaves Orrick after two years at the firm according to LinkedIn, and takes on the role of chief strategy and operations officer at the company. Pan-European investment, development and asset management company Re Capital has hired Gavin Green as its general counsel, a statement said. He was previously general counsel for investment management group MARK, the statement added, and he will sit on the executive board at Re Capital.
Climate Asset Management, the partnership between HSBC Asset Management and Pollination, has hired Amy Merrill as senior legal counsel, according to a statement. She was most recently a senior lawyer at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the statement said. The partnership aims to aims to provide nature-based solutions for institutional investors and corporations as they address their climate change obligations and Net Zero commitments. Uber has appointed Molly Moran to the role of associate general counsel for the EMEA region. She takes over from Matt Wilson in the role and she was previously Uber's associate general counsel for the U.S. and Canada, a company statement said. Wilson left Uber in April 2021 to join London-based multinational television production and distribution company Fremantle as general counsel. Rémi Dujon has joined freight transportation services company XPO Logistics as its general counsel for Europe. According to the statement, Dujon has 24 years of senior legal experience with publicly traded companies in the technology and industrial sectors, having held previous senior roles with divisions of Orange and France Telecom. Tesco Bank's legal director and company secretary, Michael Mustard, is set to depart in February after seven years at the bank, a company statement said. Tesco Bank's head of legal, Fiona Burden, has been appointed as his replacement. Burden has been at Tesco for eight years and prior to this had roles at Aviva and Standard Life, the statement added.
