February Moves: Firms Refresh Leaderships as Hiring Market Remains Busy
Hires this month for Goodwin Procter, RPC and others, as well as two senior partner reappointments.

Goodwin Procter has hired Eric Lim as a partner to its London real estate team, according to a firm announcement. Lim joins from Baker McKenzie where he was most recently senior associate. His experience includes advising on sales and acquisitions of real estate assets and operating businesses and joint ventures, among others. Goodwin partner James Spence described Lim as a "highly skilled lawyer with broad experience that complements our offering for real estate clients across all layers of the capital stack". Fieldfisher has relected its senior partner for a second term. Corporate partner David Wilkinson will take on the role for a further three-year stint from May 2022, a firm statement confirmed. He was first elected to the role in 2019. Wilkinson will work alongside the firm's next managing partner, Robert Shooter. Stephenson Harwood has also re-elected Roland Foord as senior partner for another two years. Foord will begin his fourth term on May 1. He has been at the firm his entire career, for almost 40 years, and was first elected to senior partner in 2012. RPC has hired Rathi Thiagamoorthy from Dentons, who joins the firm as a partner in the London disputes team, a firm statement said. She was most recently senior associate at Dentons according to LinkedIn. Her experience includes breach of contract claims, breach of warranty claims from acquisitions and private damages actions, among others. GQ Littler has added two partners to its M&A support team in London. Nicola James (pictured) and Lauren Lobb both join as partners. James was previously a senior associate at Baker McKenzie and most recently senior legal counsel at NBC Universal, while Lobb was a senior associate at CMS. They are joined by senior associate Ed Belam. Watson Farley & Williams has moved its newly elected senior partner and global maritime sector co-head George Paleokrassas from Greece to the U.S. to head up the firm's New York office. He replaces the current office head maritime finance partner Daniel Rodgers. Paleokrassas has led WFW's Athens office since 2005, growing it to become the largest international law firm in Greece.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
