A group comprising some of Europe’s biggest clients and their general counsel is looking to include social mobility as one of its key pillars as it continues its push for industry-wide progress on diversity.

The move by General Counsel for Diversity & Inclusion (GCD&I) means that law firms may soon be expected to report on social mobility metrics alongside the preexisting focus areas of gender, ethnicity, LGBTQI+ and disability when reporting to their current and prospective in-house clients.
