DLA Piper is boosting its energy and natural resources team in Perth with the addition of lawyers from Herbert Smith Freehills and Australian firm Gilbert + Tobin to its partnership.
In the latest of a spate of natural resources and energy partner moves in the West Australian city, Owen Alcorn joins as a finance, projects and restructurings partner from Herbert Smith Freehills in London where he was a senior associate, while former Gilbert + Tobin partner Matthew Watkins will join as an mergers and acquisitions lawyer.
