Allen & Overy has hired Hogan Lovells' global mining co-head to co-lead its rival practice out of its Perth office.
A corporate M&A lawyer, Matthew Johnson was also global co-head of mining at Hogan Lovells. He will take over from Perth-based Geoff Simpson, who is planning to retire from the partnership after a transition period, according to the firm.
