Clifford Chance global litigation head Matthew Newick grew up in Malaysia and Singapore before moving to New Zealand aged 14. He started his legal career at major Kiwi firm Chapman Tripp in 1987.
In the early nineties, he joined Clifford Chance and was promoted to partner in 1999. From 2013, he led the litigation and dispute resolution practice across Asia Pacific from Hong Kong, before returning to the London office in January 2017. He took up the global head of litigation & dispute resolution role later that year.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
