An arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has launched a lobby group to fight the growing tide of U.K. class action suits that it says are creating a “predatory claims culture” in Britain.

Fair Civil Justice was launched in London last week by the Institute for Legal Reform, a group affiliated to the U.S. business group, to “promote access to justice in the U.K. and to prevent the legal system here from suffering the worst excesses of U.S.-style litigation”.
