When Brexit became final in 2020, there was an abundance of talk about the world’s premier law firms pivoting away from London to European hubs like Frankfurt, Paris and, in particular, Brussels.

But, nearly three years on, that hasn’t really happened. You might theorize that European strategies were put on hold during the pandemic. A more likely reason is that London offices are so well and long-established that not even something as consequential as Brexit, nor even high inflation and a revolving door of prime ministers, could convince law leaders to divest from those bases.
