It will be a while still before SPAC deals pay off, lawyers in Asia say. They won't ever reach the frenzy seen in the U.S. but they will be a useful and viable acquisition tool for certain types of transactions.

The SPAC bubble has popped in the U.S. but in Asia SPACs never really took off. They aren't dead, though, and lawyers in Asia expect to see SPACs pick up in the third quarter of 2023.
