Big Six South Korean firm Yoon & Yang has hired U.S.-qualified shipping finance lawyer Elayne Heeseung Sung as a partner from Lee & Ko.
The hire coincides with the return of U.S.-qualified M&A lawyer Irene Kim to the firm as a partner from Samsung Electronics, where she was most recently the principal legal counsel. It also comes two months after the Seoul-based firm hired two senior lawyers, Jason Lee and Song Feng Hong, from its Big Six rivals Kim & Chang and Bae, Kim & Lee, respectively while simultaneously adding Versum Materials’ general counsel Sung Jin Ro.
