Law firms from Europe, Latin America, Asia and the United States advised on the $30 billion merger of U.S.-based agribusiness giant Bunge with grain trader Viterra.

Latham & Watkins, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, two Latin American law firms and a Swiss firm all played a role in the merger, which is considered unprecedented in size in the global agricultural sector. It is expected to create an agricultural trading giant worth more than about $30 billion.
