Baker Botts has expanded its energy and project financing capability in Southeast Asia with the hire of projects lawyer Andrew Roche from Ashurst in Singapore, where he was most recently a partner.
This marks the fourth partner hire from Ashurst by the U.S. firm, which launched in Singapore in May with the addition of former Ashurst global co-head of international projects Richard Guit, energy resources and infrastructure partner Michael Harrison and energy projects partner Daniel Reinbott. The three former Ashurst partners joined Baker Botts together with global projects special counsel Jessica Ham and Giles Ashman from the U.K. firm.
