Kobre & Kim has replenished its ranks in Brazil, a key market for the global disputes and investigations firm, with two Brazilian lawyers qualified in the U.K. and the U.S.

The firm has hired Sergio de Aguiar, who was keen to return to his native Brazil after more than a decade in London, first with Shearman & Sterling and then with Watson Farley & Williams. He focuses on complex cross-border commercial and investment disputes and has experience representing clients in the construction, oil and gas, energy, aviation, mining, telecom and infrastructure sectors, the firm said. He is qualified in England and Wales and authorized by the Brazilian Bar to work as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Brazil.
