A long-serving partner at Australian firm Clayton Utz has left to become the interim general counsel at insurer IAG.

Karen Ingram was appointed interim GC late last year after incumbent GC Peter Horton left IAG following an investigation into misconduct.

Ingram leaves Clayton Utz after 23 years at the firm as part of its litigation practice. IAG describes her role new as "interim" and in a statement late last year said it had "commenced an internal and external search for a permanent group general counsel."
