Brushing off queries about a slew of recent exits in its global management team, the new global chair of Norton Rose Fulbright said the firm has “one of the strongest management teams of any global firm right now that are solidly supported by the partnership around the world.”

Walied Soliman, the chair of Norton Rose Fulbright Canada and head of the firm’s special situations team, took over the one-year assignment as the firm’s global chair this week. Addressing the sudden departure of its CEO Gerry Pecht last September, Soliman told Law.com International that the 3,000-plus lawyer firm is not actively looking a replacement.
