A criminal court in Madrid has found a Spanish arbitrator, who had ordered Malaysia to pay $14.92 billion in an international contract dispute, guilty of contempt of court.
Gonzalo Stampa was sentenced to six months in prison and disqualified from working as an arbitrator for one year, according to the January 5 judgment obtained by Law.com International.
